open shelving kitchen remodel

Good morning!

I’m really excited for this week’s update! Justin & I spent the weekend shopping around for kitchen tile, new cabinets (we decided to do a mixture of cabinets & open shelving), flooring, & appliances.

We’ve been wanting to remodel our home for years now, & it’s finally the right time to do it! We’ve decided on this look (above), so we priced out white subway tile, repurposed wood for shelving, and countertops. The thing I’m most excited about, though, is the farmhouse sink!

Of course, I’ve been collecting inspiration images for nearly a year now! Here’s my Pinterest board if you’d like to see the full array of my inspiration images: Home Style Love.

Last year, when I was living in Asia, I spent hours shopping for the perfect fabrics for our home. So I will be looking for a seamstress to sew my curtains.

Even though Justin reminded me that there’s going to be a ton of work involved in this project, I’m still really excited. I’ve never had the opportunity to start a new home mostly from scratch. So this is going to be a fabulous fall.

If anyone knows a seamstress . . . let me know! I’ll begin working on my curtains soon!

I hope you all have a wonderful week! Later, I have an easy “take to work” lunch recipe and a book review (Chanel’s biography) you’re not going to want to miss.

XO.
