Amanda & Danny are amazing people. The first time I met Amanda in person was at our engagement session last week. I walked up to meet her at her car and she greeted with me a hug, a big smile, and the most beautifully wrapped gift I’ve ever received. It was a beautiful white box with a dark green ribbon.
Within 30 seconds of meeting Amanda, I knew that Danny was a lucky guy. He’s found an amazing woman who is full of laughter, love, fun, and generosity.
So it should have been no surprise that at the end of our session, Amanda took off her cowboy boots and jumped into Lake Austin! And Danny came right along after her, dancing with her in the water. Finally, Amanda talked me into getting into the water as well. Then, the four of us sat on the edge of the lake and talked until the sun went down.
When Danny met Amanda, he knew right away that he wanted to date her. Danny wasn’t daunted by one little issue of geography: Amanda lived in Houston, he lived in Austin. But he called her anyway. And then he kept calling her. And because they had mutual friends, they continued to have opportunities to see each other and hang out.
It didn’t take long before Amanda found a job in Austin and left Houston.
The two of them are in careers they love; Danny is an engineer & Amanda is an educator. And on the weekends, they spend most of their time together being outside. A few times a month, they’ll bring their boat out to Lake Austin for the day. They hike together. They love camping. They basically try to spend as much time outside as possible! So toward the end of the session, Amanda slipped off her heels and slipped on her cowboy boots. Because most of the time, if she and Danny are hanging out together, they’re in their boots.
Thank you, Danny & Amanda, for sharing such a special time in your lives with us!
Here is another handful of some of our favorites from last week!
